Nathan Cryder is the Managing Partner for Community Solar initiatives at Edelen Renewables, where he leads a growing team of industry experts advancing the company’s mission-driven renewable energy work.

He is a founding board member of the Kentucky Solar Energy Industries Association (KYSEIA) and has chaired its Utility-Scale Committee since its inception in 2021.

Nathan’s career spans government, education, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurship. He previously served as Senior Advisor and Policy Director to Adam Edelen during his tenure as Kentucky State Auditor and has taught high school and college courses in economics, history, sociology, psychology, web design, graphic design, and video editing and was the Co-founder of the Breakout Games.

Before entering the renewable energy sector, Nathan was Director of the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, founded by the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. He continues to serve pro bono as an advisor to Mr. Satyarthi and his son.

Nathan holds dual master’s degrees in diplomacy and sociology from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. in sociology from Miami University (OH). A dedicated father of two, he most enjoys traveling internationally with his daughter and son. He and his wife,  Ashley reside in downtown Lexington with their dog NASA.
