Jason Carter joined Edelen Renewables as Strategic Advisor in 2023. In this role, Jason offers strategic guidance on new and existing market opportunities in time of rapid growth for the firm. Additionally, he assists in the formation of an advisory board—on which he will assume a leadership position.
An early advocate of renewable energy as a Georgia State Senator, Jason and his family worked to bring a solar array to their farm, providing reliable green energy to their hometown of Plains, Georgia. He is the Chairman of The Carter Center, a humanitarian organization charged with “waging peace, fighting disease, and building hope” around the globe.
Jason is a partner in the esteemed Atlanta law firm Bondurant Mixson & Elmore. A graduate of Duke University and The University of Georgia School of Law, he worked in South Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer, where he learned to speak SiSwati and Zulu. He is the author of “Powerlines: Two Years on South Africa’s Borders”.
He and his wife Kate have two teenage sons.
