Dan comes to Edelen Renewables after a career that personifies the green energy transition. A legend of the coal industry, Dan is the product of a multi-generational coal family. Dan was among the most prolific coal brokers in Appalachia, where he provided millions of tons of coal to the utilities and industrial users that powered the American economy.
Sensing the future, Dan joined the green energy revolution as the Director of Coalfield Origination at Edelen Renewables. In this position Dan is on the frontline of bringing the opportunities of the clean energy economy to coal country. Dan’s relationship approach to business has served as the foundation of many of Edelen Renewables’ groundbreaking solar joint ventures with coal companies.
Dan is a proud Eastern Kentucky native and a graduate of the University of Transylvania, who has continued to establish his career and personal life in Lexington. In his free time from leading the green energy revolution, Dan is an avid golfer.
