Amy Samples joined Edelen Renewables in 2023 as Chief of Staff to support the team and advance the Social Impact Solar vision/mission.
Amy is a Kentucky native with more than eighteen years of experience in natural resources management, community engagement, and organizational leadership. For Amy, facilitating human interactions that identify and bridge shared values to spark action for conservation and the common good is both a passion and calling.
Amy enjoys supporting mission-driven organizations by driving forward strategic program development, cross-sector partnership, team leadership, community outreach, and fundraising.
Her professional experience includes serving on the executive team for a benefit corporation, operations management for a regional land trust in Kentucky, and conservation and fundraising roles with The Nature Conservancy. To support community planning and natural resources management, Amy also served as a resilience specialist in university extension and provided research program coordination. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, with both degrees focused on natural resources and environmental policy.
Amy is the proud mother of three amazing children and currently serves on several local and regional non-profit boards.
